Warning! Tricky Advertisment Ahead!

Nowadays, popularity of online advertising cannot be denied. One reason is, it it is one of the most effective advertising methods used by the advertisers because it is cheaper, convenient and has the ability to target specific audience effectively.

Due to uncontrollable popularity of online advertising, many individual create a website and starts to apply in advertising network in order to have an income. Many publishers earn high revenue in online advertising which inspire more and more individual to create a website and test if they are capable of earning in online advertising.

As of now, there are many advertising network to choose from but Google Adsense is the most selected advertising network in the online market because it has the highest pay per click rates and the advertisements are based on each post content. Because of this, there is a possibilities that the advertisements that will be shown are related to each content that can increase the potential of the website to earn.

However, even Google Adsense has the highest pay per click rates there are publisher that is not satisfied with their earnings and in order to earn more revenue they will modified the code provided by Google Adsense.

While I was checking the dashboard of my blog, I found an unfamiliar site in my traffic sources which motivated me to click the external link in supposing that may be one of my subscribers is the owner of the site and as a payback I will also subscribe in the website if the contents are very interesting.

After a few second, the website completely loads and a big banner of advertisement that is common to popular website in the WWW was shown. The banner did not allow me to see the whole page and clicking the close (X) button of the advertisement is the best option so I clicked it but I was surprised when the page is redirected to different website.

Due to curiosity, I visit the website again to know why it redirected to different website and discovered that the banner close (X) button and Adsense are modified (see the picture below):

Based on Google Adsense Program Policies, this kind of practices is clearly against because:
AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behavior, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google. This includes but is not limited to the following: clicking Google ads may not result in a new browser window being launched, nor may Google ads be placed in an IFRAME.

Because of this, I am a little bit confuse if Google Adsense Program Policies are really implemented.
