Access Blocked And Banned Websites

When you're using private computers of an institution, it's common that there are websites that can't be accessed on the Internet because:

- Network administrator has the privilege to blocked or banned a particular websites. Since some websites can be the cause of procrastination of work, it's one of the primary target of the network administrator.

- The governments suppressed the access to information on the Internet countrywide.

Sometimes, we need to access information on the Internet. Imagine that we spend an hours finding the most reliable resources but unfortunately, it's blocked and we don't have privilege to unblock the website. Using proxy, there is a big chances of accessing blocked websites.

WHAT IS PROXY

Proxy is a mediator for the data request by the user. It will help user to surf anonymously online, hide your IP address, secure your internet connection, hide your internet history and protect your online identity.

Following this steps, there is chances that we can accessed blocked websites.

1. Open the website you want to access and verified if it's still blocked.
Note: In this example, I chose HULU which can only be accessed within the United States.

2. Open web proxy website and enter the blocked website URL.
Note: In this example, I chose HideMyAss but there are many web proxy website to choose from.

3. Congratulations! You successfully access the blocked websites.

Hi! Thanks for the comment! Yes you can! But remember that administrator can remotely control your pc and see what you are doing.

This would be a great help for me... i do face lots of problem while m using internet through my colz network, most of the sites are blocked and even the blogspot sites are blocked...

It's great that there is a remedy on this kind of problem but then there are still problem with this. Some would abuse their knowledge to this, like in school some sites are blocked especially pornographic sites but if they have knowledge about this proxy then they can still view that certain site.

During my intership days, I used ninjaproxy.. friendster pa uso nun.. good thing, on my current work, I have an access to the net-admin so I can safely go to any sites I want #surfingLikeABoss :)

Proxies are not very safe, and some of them add malware/adware in your browser. If you really need to unblock some sites just get a paid proxy or a paid VPN from reputable company. Last time I needed a VPN I used Sun VPN. Yes, it costs money but I didn`t get my computer infected.
